“Show Up, Stand Out”
Breaking free from fear and invisibility
Let me tell you a story stitched into the bones of the earth, a story of Light and shadow.
Long before we learned to chase the spotlight or fear the dark, they lived together. Old friends, partners in the dance of eternal, weaving, shaping, whispering that true entwined brilliance is born where they both dare to stay.
Light was not born to erase the shadow, it was born to give it meaning. Light without shadow would be flat, lifeless. Shadow without light would be endless darkness.
Together, they create dimension, shape, and authenticity. They tell the full story of who we are, two sides of the same truth, and in between them, in the quiet flicker of fire and the slow glow of embers, something beautiful happens, “we find ourselves.”
We are born of shadow and light, shaped not only by roaring fires, but by the embers that outlive the night, but not showing forth this superpower, throws us deep into the obese of darkness.
There comes a moment when staying hidden costs more than being seen. I have learnt that;
“To appreciate light one has to become master of darkness”
“To appreciate been seen one has to witness been unseen”
There is a silent rhythm to this world, a quiet pull between hiding and shining.
We hide because we are afraid! And fear? Fear has a way of dressing up like reason, It tells you to wait, to prepare more, to not be “too much.” It disguises itself as humility when really, it’s hesitation. But ask yourself, what would your life look like if fear didn’t call the shots?
There are seasons in life when fear wears a thousand faces
The fear of being seen. The fear of not being seen. The fear of standing tall only to be struck down. The fear of shining too brightly and being misunderstood. But if you wait for the fear to vanish, you may wait forever.
The world doesn’t need a quieter version of you, it needs your full voice, your full light, your full self. Do not let your light whisper, let it Roar!!!
I read a quote somewhere a while ago, it says:
Visibility isn’t vanity, it’s clarity.
Visibility is not about being watched, it’s about being seen. It’s about being true, stepping out of the shadows, claiming your own light. About allowing your light spill over the walls you once built to protect yourself.
It’s about showing up even when your voice trembles, even when your heart beats too fast, even when no one claps right away, because the point was never the applause, the point was freedom.
To show up is the defiant act of choosing yourself always, to remind the world of your creative expression, like a shadow built in dreams, quiet hopes and unseen hours.
To stand out is to let the light inside you spill onto everything you touch, to burn with purpose, to illuminate the spaces you once tiptoed through in fear, even if no one is watching.
There will be days when the world feels too heavy, when the shadows stretch longer than the light.
But even then- especially then, you must remember that the light you carry is rare.
you were never meant to vanish.
You were made to rise.
Master the shadow and step into your light.
Show up, Stand out. Let them see you.
I love you,
Bye.
